Taking to Twitter Bollywood Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “The BIG HOLIDAY [#IndependenceDay] results in BIG NUMBERS at the BO… Both, #Gold and #SatyamevaJayate have TERRIFIC Day 1… Both, Akshay and John record their HIGHEST *Day 1* biz… The *combined* total is approx ₹ 45 cr [+/-], which is HUMONGOUS… Yesss, BO is on”

Whoa! John Abraham’s Satyameva Jayate is giving tremendous competition to Khiladi Bhaiya at the box-office. SMJ which also stars Manoj Bajpayee in the major role has surprised the trade pundits with its 1st-day collections. According to Bollywood Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh, the movie has so far collected huge Rs.20.52 crores on its opening day.
Indeed, John’s Satyameva Jayate is liked by the Indian audience on Independence Day.

Bye-Bye to Khans! It’s now the beginning of Akshay Kumar era in Bollywood as his new historical sports drama Gold fires the box-office. Reports claim that Gold’s 1st-day collections are highest ever for Akshay Kumar so far. While Akki’s character Tapan Das has already surprised the Indian audience, the latest box-office collections will make you wonder if Khiladi Kumar is the new ruler of Indian film industry.
According to Bollywood Trade Analyst, Taran Adarsh, Gold has collected a superb Rs 25.25 crore on Day 1 at the box-office. Well, there is more good news for Akshay Kumar fans as the movie is all set to become the 6th consecutive hit for the superstar in the last 3 years.
Further, the trade analysts have predicted that Gold will break every record of Akki’s previous movies like Rowdy Rathore which has collected Rs 133 crore at the box office.
Now, it will be interesting to see whether it will be Akshay’s Gold or John’s Satyameva Jayate which will enter the list of top 10 highest grossing movies of 2018.
