In the match, India couldn’t dismiss Essex in 94 overs as the encounter ended in a draw after rain delayed the match. Well, the Essex declared on 359 for 8. Well, the rain came with KL Rahul 36 not out and Rahane 19 not out after Dhawan was dismissed by Matthew Quinn for 0 and Pujara was caught behind for 23.
On Day 1, Murali Vijay, Virat Kohli, Dinesh Karthik, and KL Rahul had scored some fine half-centuries to take India to a respectable total of 395. Well, the fans were a bit disappointed with the batsmen as they couldn’t deliver up to the expectations.
